Looking at things in a sweet way....

So, my blog is called the "Cherry on top" and its whole purpose is to look at things positively, I found myself in an odd thought and situation today. Usually at Puebla street corners, you´ll once in a while be bombarded by one or two men trying to convince you to let them clean your windshield. I usually get very upset and yell constantly that I don´t want them anywhere near my car. But today I thought "well why don´t they just go for it!, it could use a good cleaning today!" Then in less than one minute both the windshield and back glass had been completely cleaned. I gave the guy 5 pesos and when he looked at his hand he held it toward his friend in awe of how much money it was compared to what they usually get.
I always have found myself complaining at these people. But if you look at it with the "cherry on top" philosophy you´ll find that it´s actually pretty nice to have your car cleaned in such haste and swiftness. I had realized with the rain and all, that some residue was started to accumulate in these forgotten areas. Now I can view this situation in a whole new light. One of the perks of living in Mexico. Or one of the downsides, if you don´t want to eat today´s cherry.

Why? The cherry on top.

OK. So a couple of friends have convinced me that a blog is a way to write about your life, thoughts and experiences. I always thought my life was pretty random, but have realized that maybe with a little bit of thought and my "wonderful sense of humor" and a tad of sarcasm on occasion it might be a good way to share things with family and friends who aren´t so close. So I have named my Blog "The cherry on top". I love cherries! Especially the nasty medicine tasting ones! So when I have a dessert or ice cream that cherry will be the very last thing I eat! I always leave the best for the last bite. So hopefully allthough some of my thoughts might be random to me or some experiences as well, they are the cherry on top for me. I have to view everyday like if it were. We need to search for happiness everyday. I once asked a woman in a store why she was always so cheerful and what she answered was "I´m with God!" I loved her answer so much, that I felt the same way. So if you like cherries, or chocolate or even a good shrimp cocktail. Live every day like if it were your last bite! I´m going to particulary continue to work a bit this weekend because I start school on Monday, so I´ll probably be eating a disgusting head of garlic all by itself! But even garlic can be tasty! Tune in for the next entry.... who knows what will run through my thoughts! But do know they´ll probably be funny and great stories of a newlywed 20..10.... year old....(not the year).
