Sometimes cherries can have too much sugar.

So lately I have been realizing that due to my methodical ways, I continuely feel frustrated that there is always a better or more perfect way of doing things. I remember reading Dr. Phil´s "7 Keys to Weightloss" and defining myself as a person who goes to extremes when eating. I can´t have just one of the desserts at the party. I have to try a little of all of them, and then: how on Earth can I go to a party and have not even one drink or appetizer? I must as well just pig out! So, that´s one issue. At school I always think of better ways I could organize myself. When it comes to lifestyle, I have even thought of maybe making a chart to check off every month for when I call my grandmother, or maybe grocery shopping.
Creative people aren´t so uptight about things, some of us though, I think, are right in between. It´s a constant conflict of organization and freedom. It´s quite draining! But at the end of it all we have to give ourselves the freedom to find comfort and happiness in what we do. I always believe that sitting at the computer is such a waste of time sometimes. Which means that I am wasting time now! See what I mean.... Anyway, the cherry on top, on this ocassion, is to find balance. Each to their own, but in the search for balance and happiness in our own particular routines, we can find peace. The oriental culture has prouded itself on finding ways to perfect just about everything they do, so even if you are folding a shirt, writing, singing, listening to music, cooking or eating, try to make it something enjoyable and try to find peace in everything you do. So eat your cherries and yes,,, I named today´s blog "sometimes cherries have too much sugar" because these past couple of weeks I have been such a sugar junkie, from sweet hojaldras, to carrot cake and cookies. But hopefully the next cherry will be about starting a workout routine!
Until next time!
By the way here is a pic of my class for Halloween this year and some good friends during the parade at school!
